From 19 October to 5 November, WONDER in downtown Kortrijk pushes the boundaries of your imagination.

Who are the next generation of Belgian designers within product design, architecture, graphic design and game design? Every year since 2014, Designregio Kortrijk and its partners have been looking for the most promising young designers from creative design education.

De Beste Kamer & Muuto: The plastic chair reinvented
Interior shop De Beste Kamer brings the sustainable and circular story of their Fiber chairs with Danish furniture brand Muuto.
Retrospectieve Junior Design
Retrospectieve Junior Design is a tribute to Pierre Grosjean & Jeanine Bouckaert's award-winning wooden design furniture and educational toys.
Belgian Design Pavilion x Kanvas Spanplafonds
The iconic Broeltorens are the place where history and future meet during WONDER. Under the title Belgian Design Pavilion, curators Timon Mattelaer and Joris Verstrepen bring the cream of Belgian contemporary design to Kortrijk. The scenography comes about in collaboration with Kanvas Spanplafonds. Their acoustic banner serves as a stylish framework for the design pieces.
Mimesis
With 'Mimesis', 4n20 explores the tangents between art and design. An interesting dialogue is started, with artists and designers among themselves, and with the visitor. Group exhibition with work by Alexander Bossuyt - Katleen Deleu - Lieve D'Hondt - Brecht Heytens - Free Pectoor & Thibeau Scarcériaux.
Auditorium II
Atelier Nooitgedacht invites production company Tegenadem for a unique musical performance in which they will showcase their auditorium: an experimental sound and recording machine that bridges the gap between musicians and audience.
Kortrijk Art Weekend
The second WONDER weekend will see the very first Kortrijk Art Weekend, a collaboration between more than 20 Kortrijk arts organisations as a platform for contemporary art.
WONDERWALL
BuroMuro is a print collective that is the missing link between artists and enthusiasts. On WONDER, they will present WONDERWALL at the Budafabriek with work by their illustrators.
Belfort Projection Mapping
Students in their final year Devine Howest-KASK take over the Belfry on the Grote Markt with their projections, immersing bystanders in a wondrous digital spectacle, in collaboration with Designregio Kortrijk and Urban Mapping.

Aluvision will suprise visitors at the Buda Factory with numerous eye-catching set-ups. With daring imagination and unrivalled technical expertise, Aluvision is known within the fairs & events industry as a trendsetter in the development of sustainable, modular building systems.
MY DEAR OBJECT
During this exhibition by artists Arno Camps & Elvira Mulkay and Orac Decor, objects and materials will find their way back into the assembly of a sculpture that will take its total form throughout the WONDER period with the help of visitors.

Good to know
All WONDER sites are free to visit between Thursday 19 October and Sunday 5 November, accessible every day except Monday.
Opening hours: during school weeks from 9am to 6pm, on weekends and autumn holidays from 10am to 6pm. Closed on Mondays.
Visitors will be welcomed and registered at the main location, the Buda Factory, where they will receive the WONDER plan that will guide them past all the locations.
