WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION 2022
WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION 2022 took place as part of WONDER Creativity Festival from 20 October to 6 November at the Budafabriek in Kortrijk.
Let's get phygital?
WONDER Creativity Festival in 2022 had the theme Let's get phygital. Physical, digital or phygital? In corona times, digital transformation really gained momentum, but will tomorrow's designers radically follow suit? Phygital does not seem to be the students' first concern post-corona. But how do we build a better future? With a lot of commitment, they think up innovative, whether phygital or not, ways to deal with the space, materials, emotions, etc. we have today, and turn shortages into wealth.

WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION 2021
In 2021, the expo continued from 15 October to 14 November 2021 and was part of WONDER - Kortrijk Creativity Festival, just like the Biennale Interieur with its new design event 'PLEASE, HAVE A SEAT'. The venue was the factory halls on the former Van Marcke site in Kortrijk.
THEME: PLEASE, HAVE A SEAT
Sitting together, coming together, enjoying together, being together. The corona crisis has made us all think more about the importance of social interaction and its impact on people, society and students. With the theme PLEASE, HAVE A SEAT, we show how design students have interpreted the corona crisis in their student projects.
The jury selected these projects because of their link to the theme, their social relevance, innovative character, sustainability and exhibitability.
