BBQ

Continuing on the success of the barbecook® line, that combines a unique ignition system (QuickStart®) with a stylish design and high-quality materials, Saey Home & Garden and designer Bart Lens took innovation one step further. This resulted in a new type of BBQ, that allows to cook food at the bottom and the top simultaneously. This is obtained by the heat of the BBQ that is reflected by a heat resistant glass plate attached above the BBQ.

Senior Designer: Bart Lens

After graduating as an architect, Bart Lens (BE, °1959) gained work experience with Jo Spaans and others. In 1995 he started his own architecture firm in Hasselt, Lens°Ass. Convinced that architecture can only work in an integrated concept in which all elements are balanced down to the smallest detail, he develops everything himself, from lighting equipment to furniture and even electric switches. He works with companies such as Obumex, Bosch and Van Rossum.

This product was developed within the 5X5® innovation process. With 5X5® Voka West-Flanders and Designregion Kortrijk offer companies the opportunity to develop their idea into a new product or service under supervision and in cooperation with a designer or design team.
