PROJECT CCSSI4CCSI

Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries for Collaboration, Competitiveness, Sustainability and Innovation (CCSI4CCSI).

The cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI) are one of the most dynamic sectors in Europe, accounting for a notable share of the EU's GDP and workforce.

CCSI is an important driver of sustainable growth, job creation across Europe and a driver of creativity and innovation for other sectors. There is also a significant contribution to social and cultural sustainability.

Due to the limited size of the companies - approximately 90% are micro, small or medium-sized - but also due to the economic and corona crisis, it has become apparent that there is a need to support the CCSI at multiple levels. The CCSI lack of an entrepreneurial mentality makes them vulnerable to the rapidly changing environment and within an economic market where their value is underutilized. The CCSI can develop and strengthen itself through mentorship, networking, collaborative projects and experiments. At the same time, non-creative sectors can increasingly discover the value of working with CCSI to implement design thinking, interdisciplinary and people-oriented approaches, strong communication and storytelling in their sectors.

The aim of the CCSI4CCSI project is to facilitate the triple-transition (green, digital and social) for and with the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) at both the regional and interregional level.

More specifically, the project aims to:

· Support CCSI actors to develop, transform and innovate,

· Promoting synergies within the regional ecosystem and the cross-fertilization of CCSI with other priority sectors in their areas of specialization,

· Encouraging proactive decision-making by linking forecasting tools to policy.

The project activities include: 6 EoE events, 15 good practices, 1 joint study on CCSI needs and trends, 1 benchmarking of good practices in green and digital CCSI, 1 benchmarking on CCSI networks and policy recommendations on the triple transition from CCSI.

The project “Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries for Collaboration, Competitiveness, Sustainability, and Innovation – CCSI4CCSI” brings together 8 partners from 5 different European regions. The project leader is Region Central Macedonia (EL) and the project partners are KEPA - Business and Cultural Development Center (EL), Enter Koprivnica (HR), City of Koprivnica (HR), Malopolska Regional Development Agency (PL), Business Kolding (DK), Design Region Kortrijk (BE), City Kortrijk (BE).

The project is funded by the Interreg Europe program. The total value of the project is € 1,558,854.
