Sint-Denijs-City, art along slow roads
A panoramic landscape, an atmosphere full of silence with slow roads crossing the village. Sint-Denijs, borough of Zwevegem, is a well-kept secret on the slopes between the rivers Leie and Schelde, near the language border. A number of art-loving villagers interrupt the calm summer and occupy the village with contemporary art, led by curator Jan Leysen.
The result? An unexpected walking tour of 4.2 km along slow roads, with art in the open landscape or in the enclosure of rural buildings. A unique art experience from
August 18 to Septembre 24, 2023.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
You can start the art route at Farm Ten Rooden Duifhuize or at the church of Sint-Denijs. There you can purchase your ticket or exchange your ticket purchased online for a physical ticket.
Each visitor will receive a map with the route marked on it at the start. You are free to follow the route or visit the different locations in your own order.
Each outdoor location is freely accessible. At the entrance of each indoor location, you need to show your physical ticket, which will be stamped. You can therefore visit each indoor location only once per ticket.
