The '!MPULSIVE GIRL TOUR' street art tour is gearing up for its third and final edition!
The !Mpulsive Girl Tour is now in its third and final edition.
The concept remains the same: female graffiti artists enhancing the social housing estates in the !Mpuls region of Wervik and Menen. Over the past two years, 20 façades have already been transformed into eye-catching features in the neighbourhood. In the last week of May 2026, South-West Flanders will once again be transformed into an open-air studio, resulting in ten new murals.

The !Mpulsive Girl Tour is a project by social housing association !Mpuls, graffiti collective Girls ’n Cans and Designregio Kortrijk. For this third edition of the street art tour, Girls ’n Cans – with Katrien Demeulenaere as curator – has once again selected 10 female artists. This year, for the first time, the project has an international flavour, featuring one Dutch artist (with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgium), two French artists and one Canadian artist.
Together!
This year, the organisation chose the theme ‘together’, because social housing is the very definition of living together. People need one another and, now more than ever, must work together to achieve something.
Last year, the !Mpulsive Girl Tour opened up a vacant building to turn it into a meeting place. A variety of activities were organised each month: people gathered around the fire pit, chairs were painted and spray-painted, and an !Mpulsive escape room was organised. Neighbourhood participation is paramount, and the !Mpulsive Girl Tour acts as a catalyst to encourage people to talk, live and reside in their social housing estate – a place they can be proud of.
During the first edition in 2024, everything revolved around the local residents, their own language, culture and stories, with diversity as the theme. In 2025, the focus was on connection. Social housing estates are not always seen as the most attractive places, but they are often lively, diverse and full of hidden talent. The !Mpulsive Girl Tour aimed to highlight that richness and introduce residents and visitors to art and culture.
Plan your visit
Once again, various cycling and walking routes are being mapped out and, just like last year, there will be a specially adapted kids’ tour, with activities for each artwork. All the information will be available soon at www.impulsivegirltour.com.
