The countdown to WONDER Creativity Festival 2025 has begun!

16.10 - 02.11.25

It won't be long before UNESCO Design City Kortrijk is once again all about imagination, innovation and creativity. This year, we have selected a number of special highlights that will take you on a creative journey of discovery through the city.

You will discover various installations and exhibitions that show how diverse and innovative creative work can be today. From light art in a listed mansion to projection mapping on Kortrijk Town Hall. Artists, designers, companies and collectives each bring a fresh perspective on the future in their own way.

Discover the various highlights

Visitors discover installations that are playful, stimulating and socially relevant. For example, the installation ‘Pixel Drift’ by lighting designer Bram Lattré takes you to a new location in Groeningestraat, and at Broelkaai 6, you are confronted with tranquillity and chaos with the help of the audiovisual installation ‘Calamity’ by Charbel Abou Zeidan en Uncanny Creative Studio. Every evening after sunset, you can visit the Grote Markt to see Kortrijk's historic town hall come to life through 'projection mapping', developed by students Devine van Howest-KASK.

You can discover young talent at Budafabriek, where WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION presents the next generation of Belgian design talent. Each year, Designregio Kortrijk and its partners search for the most promising young designers. For the first time, the Award-winning Ecodesign projects will be included in the 11th edition of the expo and presented during the opening night of WONDER.

Unique to this edition are the many collectives that have been formed especially for WONDER. For instance, Brut Collective temporarily transforms the Broeltoren into an ‘Arena’, and thanks to Cohousing Projects six Kortrijk designers join forces in the Groeningestraat under the name Matter Matters Collective.

Circular projects are a key asset for a better future. WONDER invites you to explore various circular innovations at the Koramic House. With the group exhibition ‘Echoes of the Earth’ the focus is on bio-based and regenerative design, created with materials of biological origin. You can also find the 'Circular Showcase' by Bobolito&Co and IMOG at the Grote Markt.

The WONDER 2025 program invites you to rediscover the city, adding many new locations and initiatives. In the Kaai City district, the new Caaap, Kaai City, buzzes with young energy through media art, STEM projects, and emerging makers bringing fresh dynamics to Kortrijk.
