Hack The Material: creative experiment with Ledro Powder Coatings, Blue Label and Nortstudio
With Hack The Material, we highlight company products in an innovative way, combining creativity, experimentation and challenge.
Enter Ledro Powder Coatings and Blue Label. Both companies engage in a creative experiment with the colourful and playful design studio Nortstudio, supported by young potentials. This project combines Ledro's powder-coated MDF panels with Blue Label's acoustic PET material in an impressive setting.
HACK THE MATERIAL will be on show at WONDER Creativity Festival at the Buda Factory from Friday 17 October tem Sunday 3 November.
Ledro Powder Coatings produces powder-coated MDF panels for kitchens, bathrooms and other interior furniture. Through this project, its characteristics and qualities in terms of strength and durability are highlighted.
Blue Label makes acoustic insulation based on recycled PET sheets, which offers many possibilities in terms of both colour and shape.
With the Hack The Material project, materials are pulled out of their everyday context by creative designers, analysed and revisited to be combined within a new, creative setting in an inspiring installation.
Nortstudio consists of creative duo Jef De Brabander, who works out the practical and technical, and Kathleen Opdenacker, who focuses on the formal and graphic. Within this project, they are supported by two young potentials:Kamiel De Brabander and Nona Van Laethem.
Nortstudio is an Antwerp-based design studio focusing on furniture and lighting. Material research and new techniques are at the heart of their studio.
