Illustration festival Potloodvenster

Friends of print, illustration and graphic design, make a note in your diaries now for 17 and 18 July for the free Potloodvenster festival.
Workshops, talks, an illustration market, food and fun – all at the fantastic Bolwerk.

Programme

Drink & Draw – 17 July at 8.00 pm: Life drawing at a unique venue with a unique model.
Animated Film Screening – 17 July at 9.30 pm: A selection of animated films by students from the School of Arts Gent will be screened. Some of the students will be present to introduce their films beforehand.
Illustration Market – 18 July: An illustration market featuring 25 illustrators, where direct interaction with the artists takes centre stage.
Talks – 18 July: There will be talks by Pieter Van Eenoge, Charlotte Dumortier and Zeloot, amongst others, offering insights into the creative process.
Workshops – 18 July: The best way to understand the power of illustration is to experience it for yourself. That’s why we’re offering accessible workshops that give you the chance to gain an insight into the world of illustrators and graphic artists. Activities include screen printing and riso printing.
Flag exhibition – 17 and 18 July: An open call was launched for the flag exhibition, to which many illustrators submitted their work. Together with Designregio, we selected twelve illustrators based on their portfolios. Their designs were printed and are on display at Potloodvenster.
Residency – 13 to 18 July: In the week leading up to the festival, illustrator Zeloot will be taking up a residency at Bolwerk. This will serve as a laboratory for experimentation and in-depth exploration, with the aim of producing a result that will be shared with the public during the festival.
