Together with Trendvision, we are organising an exclusive evening viewing of the exhibition "Thread. The absurd is everywhere" for our network and their members on Thursday 26 March at 5.30 pm at Texture Kortrijk. Register now!
In the exhibition Thread. The absurd is everywhere, 33 artists play with the many contrasts of our time. They celebrate the versatility of textiles and push the boundaries of materials and techniques. Knitted film stills, textile memories in clay, and pixel patterns explore the possibilities of textiles as a medium while questioning the world we live in. The artists find beauty in waste and residual materials, protection and strength in fragile materials, and turn the everyday inside out into something delightfully absurd.
Selected from nearly 500 submissions, these young creators not only get a platform, but also a professional growth trajectory through Kunstwerkt and Texture.
During this nocturne, Marijn Everaarts, exhibition maker at Texture, and Suzanne Landrieu, external jury member of Draad and scenographer of the exhibition, will provide commentary on the exhibition. The exhibition runs until 29 March, so this is the ideal opportunity to discover it with the creators!
