LOUDORDESIGN studio
Jean-François D'Or
His simple, unpretentious, logical objects appeal as much for their obvious, clearly perceptible design as for their discreet poetry.
Jean-François D'Or graduated as an industrial designer from ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels in 1998. Since then, he has built up a solid and varied experience. After a project of several months in New York, he was hired by the brand Light where he worked closely with established and demanding designers such as Maarten Van Severen and Hans De Pelsmacker. In 2003, he set up his own industrial design studio.
His approach takes into account the requirements of the company and the needs of the users, and he is guided by the will to reach a market; his products aim to enrich our environment. Jean-François D'Or explores numerous materials and expresses their beauty without embellishment. His simple, unpretentious, logical objects stand out both for their obvious, clearly perceptible design and for their discreet poetry.
Named Belgian Designer of the Year in 2013, Jean-François D'Or continues on a steady path of impeccable rigour.
