With #ReflectingLights, Deltalight and Light for the World are fighting for accessible eye care in the KIOSK

Lighting company Deltalight together with NGO Light for the World launched the #ReflectingLights campaign, seeking to draw attention to making eye care accessible in Sub-Saharan Africa. At KIOSK, Deltalight and designer Noemi Orgaer are presenting a reflective light installation as an extension of the campaign.

Deltalight, based in Wevelgem, is a leading specialist in architectural lighting solutions, known for its innovative designs and sustainable approach. For Deltalight, light is much more than technology or design. It symbolises connection, comfort and hope. A logical collaboration with Light for the World followed.

Light for the World Belgium ensures sustainable quality care for all and fights for the integration of visually impaired people in Sub-Saharan Africa. Together with Deltalight, they launched the #ReflectingLights campaign: an initiative to create awareness and make eye care accessible to the most vulnerable people.

As an innovative and sustainable company, we believe in the power of light to improve lives. With the #ReflectingLights campaign, we want to help people whose lives have literally become dark due to avoidable blindness.

A first part of the campaign was the introduction of the #ReflectingLights pin. This pin, made of reflective material from Deltalight lighting solutions, is a powerful symbol. It reminds us how important light is, not only literally but also figuratively. Since December, employees of both organisations wore this pin to draw attention to the importance of accessible eye care.

KIOSK in collaboration with Noemi Orgaer

A second action is the presentation in the KIOSK at the Graanmarkt in Kortrijk. Deltalight was matched with designer Noemi Orgaer for the concept development. She exhibited for the first time in 2023 in Kortrijk during the WONDER Creativity Festival, with a lighting object as a graduation project of her product design course at La Cambre Brussels. Meanwhile, she has made a name for herself as a product designer and interior designer in Belgium and abroad with handsome interior realisations, participations in collectible design events with her own designs and scenographies for exhibitions and fashion shows. Her studio is currently based in Paris. A promising talent as an ideal match for Deltalight.

Noemi developed an intriguing presentation where reflective materials play the leading role and trigger passers-by.
