Designers in Residence Kortrijk: terms and conditions

Completed applications must be submitted to Designregio Kortrijk before Monday July 4th 2022, 9:00 CET. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.

Designers in Residence Kortrijk is only open to designers who have graduated within the last 3 years (diploma is requested).

Applications must be in response to the theme 'The future of the Daily'.

All entries will be acknowledged via email.

A jury compiled by Designregio Kortrijk will select three applicants to become Designers in Residence Kortrijk.

Designregio Kortrijk provides for the selected Designers in Residence Kortrijk:

  • accommodation
  • monthly fee (400 €/month)
  • usage of Budalab Open Makerspace
  • experts in several domains and support of Designregio Kortrijk
  • one-time travel expenses

The selected designers have to participate in activities in support of the program.

Submitting the application form means a mandatory full-time participation at the Designers in Residence Kortrijk program once selected.

Designers in Residence Kortrijk will document their residency by supplying information and visual content on the development of their work.

The jury reserves the right to decide if an entry corresponds to the competition criteria, and on that basis refuse an entry. Decisions of the jury are final and without appeal.

Designregio Kortrijk will not enter verbal or written correspondence about the rules of the call or the decisions of the jury.
