Veldhuis strives for high architectural and construction quality through in-depth design research, construction detailing, material selection, and effective site supervision. The partners—Sigert, Jasper, and Christoph—are all deeply involved in both the design and the execution. The firm prioritizes clear communication and coordination. This allows us to arrive at reliable, integrated solutions with all stakeholders: the client, contractor(s), government agencies, and external experts such as engineers, energy performance auditors, and others. Founded in 2021, Veldhuis has built experience working with both private clients and public sector clients. Our goal is to create contemporary architecture that draws inspiration from the rich history of architecture and building culture. We build thoughtfully, energy-efficiently, environmentally consciously, and sustainably. We are convinced that an architect’s greatest value lies in creating a healthy, appropriate, and human-centered environment where people enjoy spending time or “coming home.” Veldhuis does not seek to create showy architecture that draws attention to itself. Our architecture serves its users and accommodates functions. It forms a fitting presence in the city, the village, or the surrounding landscape.
