Lithuanian design for the K-TOTEM
As part of the WONDER Festival, we once again collaborated with our colleagues at UNESCO Creative City of Design: Kaunas in Lithuania. An illustrator from their network was selected to exhibit in Kortrijk. You can discover Kissi Ussuki's cheerful illustrations until January 2026 at the K-TOTEM at Kortrijk station!
Since Kortrijk was recognised as a UNESCO Creative City of Design, we have built up an excellent relationship with our sister city Kaunas in Lithuania. Not only were we able to roll out a 5X5® innovation programme and go on an inspiration trip, we also integrated a K-TOTEM sculpture. We have also collaborated on several occasions on the design and exchanged illustrators. This time, you can discover the work of Lithuanian artist Kissi Ussuki on the Kortrijk K-TOTEM. For this project, she was inspired by the four happiness hormones and the activities that these hormones stimulate in the human body.
