Three-part course from the Vlaams Architectuurinstituut: shape your archive!
On Thursday afternoons, May 8, 15 and 22, 2025, the VAi Knowledge Center will host a three-part course on archive and information management. Are you an architect, designer, urban planner or construction company looking to get started with your archives? Are you looking for methods to manage your information efficiently?
This three-part course starts with an introduction to records and information management. You then delve into two thematic sections: the management of analog and digital archives. The emphasis is on organizing both organizational and project-based archives, not on managing a (materials) library. During the working moments you will work with your own archive and information, so that afterwards you can define targeted and prioritized actions.
We recommend taking all three course parts. Do you only manage an analog or a digital archive? Then be sure to attend the introductory session on May 8, followed by the part relevant to you: May 15 for analog archives or May 22 for digital archives.

Who is it for?
This course series is designed for architects, designers, urban planners or construction companies who want to actively engage with their archives and information. Individuals or organizations managing estates are also welcome.
Are you a student, intern or have a young design practice with little archive yet? If so, this course offers a great opportunity to think ahead and develop a vision of records management for the future.
The course is part of a traveling course across provinces. You do not have to be active in the province of West Flanders, participants from other provinces are also welcome.
